Rob places sports and overall athletics as a top priority. He has played top caliber AAA hockey within the Greater Toronto Hockey League throughout his youth. Rob has been a key player and captain at both his club teams as well as School teams for numerous years. At the age of 12, Rob won the “1st Overall Male Hockey player in Ontario” award at the Maple Leafs Skills First Challenge which included a strong competitive pool of over 1000’s of Ontario’s top caliber hockey players. Along with hockey, Rob has also played competitive soccer over the years and to this day has continued to play both sports at a recreational level.
Robs interest in Kinesiology has grown from the idea that during his Ontario Hockey League draft year of minor hockey he suffered a serious leg injury that required him to participate in hours of athletic therapy. In that time Rob discovered a passion for physical therapy and working with athletes. Rob decided to focus his complete energy and concentration on school rather than hockey. Rob developed a passion for training, and inevitably, bodybuilding. With Robs passion for science and the physical body, he began training and applying his studies to his own body first hand. Rob is like a sponge and absorbs any information possible and is continuously learning. Rob is also a competitive bodybuilder where he has learned the science of one’s diet and how it can truly alter one’s body to reach any goal they wish. It is essential that one realizes that anything is possible if the person themselves believes they can be persistent and determined.
Given Robs experience through hockey and physical therapy treatment, as well as his extensive studies in Kinesiology, he is thoroughly trained and confident in the field of the body and its kinetics. Additionally, through his experience with bodybuilding and contest preparation, Rob is efficient in developing individualized diet programs and regimes that will enable an individual to reach their desired physique and inevitably build their self-esteem and self-fulfillment. Rob is always eager to begin working with any individuals that are interested in looking into bettering their health and ultimately, their lives.
